The Scramble for Africa meant that Europeans such as England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and France all wanted a piece of Africa because Africa was full of Natural resources in order to produce industrial goods. The main Europeans looked in Africa for rubber, gold, wood, ivory, iron, sliver, and they wanted the African people to change their religion. This happened because most of Africa wasn't in the Industrial age. Most the Europeans had a military advantage, transportation advantage. also they had production of guns available to. The Scramble of Africa affected the Africans by, at first the Africans were into their own religion and now they are converted into Christianity. The Africans also at first working for living or supporting their family and they now work for the people that took over them
